Description

This is the 1903 third edition and it contains facimiles of hand-written letters from King Victor Emmanuel III (dated Jaurary 19th, 1903) and G. Zanardelli, the then Premier of Italy (dated February 20, 1903). Both letters have been translated into English.

Not all editions of this work have the hand-written facimilies of the letters for we also have the 1918 8th edition of this work and it does not have the facimilies.

This works describes how the Catholic Church operated in Rome at the turn of the century, and it is not for the faint of heart. The author tells us what an Irish bishop once told him: "I, for one, never desired the overthrow of the Pope's temporal power; for, as long as that lasted, the world possessed in Italy an object lesson of the degradation to which a dominant Roman Catholic Church reduces a country and a people."

We have 3 original copies of this 1903 3rd edition with the facimilies of the letters mentioned above. If you want to purchase an actual copy of this book, and not a pdf copy,  call us today at (660) 747-0327 and we can facilitate such a purchase
