Originally published in 1883, OCLC locates only 4 copies of the 1883 edition, and none of this 1891 edition. This book includes the original French text with Parton's English translation

This oration on Voltaire was delivered at Paris, May 30, 1878, the one hundredth anniversary of Voltaire's death. It was translated by James Parton. In addition, it includes the three great poems from Goethe, George Eliot and Longfellow.
